Once a month, Julia comes to teach the kids a new recipe. This month she brought in a favorite, dumplings and spring egg rolls. We cut the cabbage, mushrooms, and onion, grated the ginger, poured tamari and oil, and stirred the delightful mix all together in a big bowl. The best part was rolling out dough and filling the dumplings. We used rice paper for the egg rolls, which was fun to soak in water and watch it turn into a flimsy wrap. After all our hard work, it was time to devour our dumplings and egg rolls. They were gone in a matter of seconds and so delicious. Thanks, Julia! We can’t wait to make our next recipe together.
